MEET DR. WRIGHT

The funds from his University Scholar award allow Dr. Robert Wright the flexibility to pursue projects he might not otherwise be able to consider due to cost and time constraints. He is also able to acquire equipment to enhance his productivity.

This award has significantly advanced his research in non-profit marketing, determinants of student performance, marketing strategy, consumer behavior, evaluating teaching and learning, consumer response to marketing and services marketing.

He is actively involved in the academic development of his students, a pursuit he describes as both essential and rewarding. “I believe that students like to be challenged and they respond very positively by producing high-quality output,” said Wright. He integrates his research into his classes as much as possible.

THE UNIVERSITY SCHOLARS PROGRAM

The purpose of the University Scholars program is to strengthen the University in meeting today’s challenges and tomorrow’s promise. Faculty are nominated for the award by their peers.

“I am currently working on a number of projects which have, or will be, positively impacted by the award,” said Wright.
